🏫Spotlight: School Funds
At the council meeting on Tuesday I spoke about the $80 million dollars in federal funding that is being withheld by the federal government from the Colorado public school system. The latest is that our state has filed a suit demanding an immediate release of the funds. I joined in calling for the release of these funds as Jefferson County schools are depending on $3 million of it, and Adam County unsure of their ability to maintain programming in the long term if funds are cut. Read the latest on the school funding freeze here.
