As someone who grew up on military bases and as a veteran, I carry with me a deep respect for the sacrifices made by service members and their families. The red poppy is a symbol of both remembrance and resilience - which is why it's used for Poppy Month in May, a commemoration of the legacy of our veterans and reaffirms our commitment to supporting them.

The weather is warming up and Olde Town has many events you’re gonna love! The Art Drop is tomorrow on May 2, there’s Live Music on the Second Saturdays on May 10, and of course Fourth Friday bar and art crawls on May 23. Have a great time in our historic district this May!

May 6th – Arts and Culture Commission Presentation 🎭
City Council didn’t meet this past week, as we skip the fifth Tuesday of the month. On May 6th, we’ll have our normal business meeting with some things you’d like to know about: a number of resolutions regarding water treatment, a presentation from the Arts and Culture Commission, and many proclamations for the month of May.
